Where to stay in Andros:As a
resident of the island myself, I have found the best places to stay while on the island.

Vilette Adonis, is a group of
detached traditional style dwellings, amidst fruit trees and vegetable gardens; a true ecological paradise. Eight kilometers from the port of Gavrio, each rental unit comes with free use of late model car.
Great panoramic views.More info and pictures > |

Andros island, Greece:Andros island is the
northernmost of the Cyclades, clearly one of the most beautiful of the group. Its uniqueness lies in the multitude of mountain ranges, riverbeds, valleys and the numbers of streams which criss-cross its landscape.
Gavrio is the island's main port located in the west side of the island. One of the most interesting features of Gavrio is the tower of St. Peter (Agios Petros), one of the most important Geometric structures to have
survived to this date. |

HoraAndros or "Hora" is the capital of
the island, located in the South-East part, and it's the island's second most important harbor. It is a very attractive town, with neo-classical mansions built side by side traditional cycladic homes.
Andros is host to the Archaeological Museum
with finds from the Geometric, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. There is also a Nautical museum and a Modern Art museum. |

FunThere are good swimming beaches at
Nimborio, Paraporti, Korthi bay, near Batsi, Gavrio, Vitali and elsewhere. The island has excellent tourist amenities and can easily deal with the steadily increasing numbers of visitors who choose it for its natural
beauty, its attractive villages, historical monuments, superb beaches and medicinal springs. Our favorite beach: Chrisi Ammos (Golden Sand) 1km south of Gavrio. Come play with us a friendly, beach volley game. |
